“Good Grief” is a story that satirically deals with identity through truth and lies. This story is special because it deals with the idea of finding truth through lies. The story resonates with me because we all have to deal with lies; be it the ones we tell others, the ones others tell us, or the ones we tell ourselves. The thing I find particularly interesting is that through all of these lies exist times where our characters find truth. It can be a look or an action that reveals something about themselves, something of truth. And this is the conundrum of the film, finding authenticity through lies.
